SCIENTIFIC PROCESS at NEW YORK ACADEMY

New York Academy follows the scientific process to engage the kids in learning. It’s a process where students learn to learn and think, rather than just gaining facts, knowledge, and skills. Students engage in hands-on experiments with a focus on the application of the scientific process, which is the series of steps to determine if something is true or not.

Scientific Process

A scientific process starts with forming a ‘question’ or a ‘Hypothesis’, which is a ‘guess’ about what we think the answer to the ‘question’, might be. We set up the experiment, collect data, and ultimately form a conclusion based upon the data. The conclusion in a scientific process ultimately answers if the hypothesis was correct or incorrect. Conclusions are not considered failures, and the learning is guaranteed.
